What is the one thing you vowed you would never do when you had kids that you find yourself doing?
Licking my fingers and wiping stuff off their face with them! Gross!
Do you have a date night with you spouse or partner? How do you find the time to keep the romance going when you are juggling so much?
Dates are fine but, to REALLY keep the romance going we need a night free of kids in our bed! Hotels here we come…
What is your best tip for maintaining balance or at least some semblance of sanity?
YOGA or any exercise helps me maintain my sanity, at least momentarily. Breathing in and out slowly, both on and off a yoga mat, surprisingly helps. As a family, we make it a point to slow down at the end of the day and eat dinner together – nothing beats a dinner conversation and it’s amazing what you hear and learn!
What is your favorite thing to do with your kids?
Snuggle! The best nights are when we slip into our comfy Hanes sweats and tees and watch movies on the couch, play together and just enjoy each other’s company.
What are the last three dinners you made for your children?
Pesto Quinoa Pasta Sloppy Joes with ground spinach, cauliflower etc thanks to recipes that let me sneak in those pesky vegetables.
Pizza – and by “made,” I “made” the call to the delivery guy.
What is your guilty pleasure? Do you ever have time for it?
An entire day at the spa…must make time!! I just turn off my cell phone and get the works, guilt-free.
The best thing about being a working mom? The worst thing about being a working mom?
Best: Your children see you being independent, responsible and providing for them.
Worst: They see you less.
If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
The ability to clone myself and be in several places at once.
What inspires you?
The sacrifice of my ancestors and my four nice children.
What are some of you favorite sites?
Hotmomsclubs.com [1], zappos.com [2], hanes.com/kids [3], and mommytrack’d!
What part of Mommy Track’d do you like best?
I love Mommy Trackd’s working mommy cartoons – they’re the best pick-me-up and remind me that I’m not alone during those moments of insanity.
